Care Groups
|
In any group of people, not least a
growing Church, ensuring nobody gets left out must be a key
priority. Part of the purpose of
Care Groups is, therefore, to provide everybody with a core
group of friends and contacts.
We will be able to look out for each other, take a loving and
supporting interest in one another and grow together in our
faith and discovery of the Bible through informal discussion
based study.
On alternate Wednesdays at 8.00pm
groups based in East Harling, Hopton, Market Weston, Barningham,
Walsham Le Willows and Wattfisifield,
and Roydon meet in homes for fellowship, study and friendship.
Everyone
can be 'connected' to one group whether or not they are free to
regularly attend - it is reassuring to know that people pray and
care for you.
Of course, for one reason or another not everyone will be able
to be very much involved in Care Groups. We endeavour to be a
caring Church trying to make sure that every person finds the
support they need - and the chance to exercise their own gifts
and abilities. But we do need to communicate with each other.
If we 'miss' you, forgive us and do let us know. Give us the
chance to care for you.
What happens at the Care Group?
There are usually two each month and although the format largely
depends on the host location they all include a time of Bible
Study and a time for 'care & sharing' including the chance
to share needs for prayer. It is very informal. Care groups will
arrange their own social activities: BBQ's, meals and so on. It
is the ideal way to quickly 'feel' like you belong, and an
important resource for meeting needs. |
